Power House Painting and Home Improvement started off as an idea back when the owner, Brian Martin, was in college. At the time, Brian was attending George Mason University, pursuing a degree in Organizational Administration and running a pressure washing company. The idea was formed to start a painting and home improvement company once he moved back to Yorktown.
In the summer of 2009, Brian married his high school sweetheart, Ashley, and the two started Power House Painting. While Brian ran the company, bid jobs and helped paint when necessary, Ashley also helped by being a full time painter. As the business started to become more successful, Ashley moved on to become a preschool teacher.
Fast forward to 2012 and 2014, Brian and Ashley became the proud parents to two beautiful boys, Maddox and Jace. During this period, they moved houses and eventually the office moved into the downstairs of their house with the General Manager and Project Manager.
As of January 2018, the company has grown from a home business to an office and warehouse location in Hampton. They currently have nine work vehicles, one pressure washing trailer and two cargo trailers. Power House Painting is a full blown painting, pressure washing and home improvement company. They have split into three divisions so each employee has a specialty. Our home improvement company specialized in doors, windows, and wood rot replacement.
In their free time, Brian and Ashley enjoy RVing with their kids, hiking, playing at the beach and pretty much anything else that involves spending time together. They also help coach and manage their kids baseball and wrestling teams. Brian and Ashley recently celebrated their ten year anniversary and they also both celebrated 10 years of business. They are looking forward to the next 10 years and all the adventures of having a growing family and business.
