As a business, I have learned to set goals for revenue, production, marketing and the list goes on, but I have also learned to set goals for my personal life. Ashley and I always set savings goals, health goals, but our favorite goal is our travel goals.
Our goal is to visit all 50 states as a family before the boys graduate high school. Maddox turns 12 in August and starts 7th grade this year, so we only have six years remaining to hit our goal!
Before this July, our family
of four had 18 states, but after this recent vacation we were able to cross off three more! We are now down to 15 states.
Our family went and visited Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. We had the great fortune of staying in Driggs, Idaho and enjoyed a rodeo, a local farmers market and were a short drive to Grand Teton National Park. We enjoyed some amazing hikes and swimming in freezing cold lakes afterwards.
Then we stayed inside Yellowstone National Park at Old Faithful Inn where we saw even more amazing wildlife and geysers. The boys also got to experience a world with no internet/GPS and we had to use a map to get around.
We left Yellowstone and stayed in Big Sky, Montana. We enjoyed a 39-degreecold plunge in our creek that ran through our Airbnb, while watching a moose and her baby walking from the distance. The highlight of the trip for the boys was our flyfishing in a local Montana river. The boys caught more fish than Ashley and me!
